Following the arguments, the SC administration announced that the case will now proceed before the full bench.

Former Attorney General Sabita Bhandari Baral had ordered the return of the cases related to property purification and organized crime filed against Lamichhane during the tenure of the KP Sharma Oli-led government.

In response, separate petitions challenging the decision were filed at the SC by Yubaraj Paudel, Senior Advocate Dinesh Tripathi, and Advocate Abhas Regmi.
