Traffic resumes along blocked BP Highway since morning

The District Police Office has, however, requested people to travel, considering the adverse weather conditions, even though two-way traffic has resumed on the road. The diversion road has been temporarily brought into operation after the water level in the river receded.

KAVREPALANCHOK, March 29: Traffic has resumed on the BP Highway since this morning. The highway had remained blocked since Friday evening due to flooding in the Roshi River triggered by incessant rainfall. 



The District Police Office has, however, requested people to travel, considering the adverse weather conditions, even though two-way traffic has resumed on the road. The diversion road has been temporarily brought into operation after the water level in the river receded.

The flood had washed away about four kilometers of diversion road at various places from Chowkidanda to Nepalthok in the Roshi area. 


The road had been washed away at various places along the highway in Biruwadanda, Kaldhanga, Chowkidanda, and Mangaltar.
