Suman Shrestha, marketing manager of The British College was positive about the fair on the last day. He said, “We’re satisfied that we managed to reach to the target students. Students were particularly interested in our Bachelor of Science in Computing course, and we’ve also received lots of feedback for our Master’s courses. Around 10 students have already signed up to our college.” [break]

Students throng the stalls during The British College Nagarik EduFair 2013 at Bhrikuti Mandap on Saturday. The students received recommendations as well as advice on the various course choices in universities in Nepal, India, Australia and Poland.
According to Prajul Joshi, Director, Indo Asian Educational Consultancy students were particularly looking for answers to questions like the scope and job guarantee if they pursue a particular course. “The queries were more for Bachelor courses and the visiting students wanted to know things like the scope of the course they were interested in, the job availability, the college environment, the quality of the education,” said Joshi.
He believes that the last of the fair has seen more footfalls than the previous days. The consultancy has advised students on various courses like nursing, hotel management, optometry and engineering.
Though majority of the students came with friends to the fair, some were also accompanied by their parents. The EduFair also had interesting offers like a free headphone on the purchase of a Micromax mobile phone and internet schemes for its visitors, especially students. Many people also took up the offer of a new internet devise launched by Nepal Telecom in the fair.
Bikesh Karanjit, Director of Array International, shared, “I’ve talked to a few stalls and they seem quite happy with the response. The students I have talked to were also happy because they have a lot of choices where the courses were concerned. There were more inquires for management courses like, Bachelor in Business Administration and Bachelor in Business Management. Also, quite a few colleges were offering scholarship programs which attracted students. The fair had internet schemes and Nepal Telecom also launched their internet device which managed to draw a crowd.”
