Indian leader Sinha calls on PM Bhattarai

KATHMANDU, July 31: India’s main opposition party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Yashwant Sinha, who is currently on a three-day private visit to Nepal, met with Prime Minister Babauram Bhattarai at the latter´s residence in Baluwatar on Tuesday morning.



During meeting, leader Sinha inquired about Nepal’s current political situation and peace process, RSS quoted PM’s aide Prashanta Lamichhane as saying. [break]



According to RSS, they also discussed a range of bilateral issues, including economic relations between the two countries, during the meeting.



Leader Sinha had also held talks with UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Mondey evening the latter´s residence in Lazimpat.



Sinha, a former Indian finance minister had arrived in the capital on Monday morning.
