The panel has been given a seven-day mandate to investigate the role and responsibilities of ministry employees in the alleged irregularities and submit its findings.
According to the MoES, the investigation will also examine procedural weaknesses, document verification practices, and possible lapses in the study visa recommendation process.
The probe was initiated after documents and letters submitted under the name of Valmiki Vidyapeeth were found to be fake in relation to study visa recommendations. Following this, the ministry has requested relevant authorities not to proceed with further visa processing for affected foreign applicants.
Officials said the case is being treated as a serious breach affecting the credibility of the study visa system. The ministry has also previously informed the Ministry of Home Affairs after suspicions of forged documents and receipts emerged.
The government said further administrative and legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation committee.
