KATHMANDU, June 12: Gold and silver prices posted a sharp rise in the domestic market on Friday, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association.

The price of gold surged by Rs 5,300 per tola from Thursday's rate, reaching Rs 292,000 per tola.
Silver also registered an increase, climbing by Rs 190 per tola to Rs 4,840. The precious metal was traded at Rs 4,650 per tola on Thursday, the federation said.
