Two persons riding on a motorcycle (Na 12 Pa 8955) were killed after their motorcycle was hit by a bus (Na 3 Kha 2495) near Bakaiya bridge along the Pathlaiya-Birgunj section of the highway Sunday night.
The deceased have been identified as Buddha Bahadur Bhula, 28, and Sanjeev Lama, 26, of Nijgadh-5.
The bus driver is absconding, while police have impounded the bus. Similarly, Anwar Ansari of Nijgadh-4 died after a tipper (Na 3 Kha 5391) overturned near Pasaha of Nijgadh Sunday morning.
In another accident, five-year-old Sitaram Chowdhary died after falling off the trailer of a tractor (Na 1 Ta 3860) Sunday morning.
In yet another accident, Om Prakash Kurmi, 20, of Bhikhampur, Parsa, died after the tractor (Na 1 Ta 9862) he was driving overturned in Parsa Sunday morning.
