The DDC office remains open for an extra hour every working day and also provides service to service seekers up to 2 pm during public holidays.

A meeting of the DDC officials had decided to provide service even during public holidays,” said Local Development Officer Hari Lal Regmi, adding, the office will provide the extra-hour services till mid-July. He said DDC employees were not paid for working extra hours.
“Earlier, I had to stay in Livang for several days to get my works done. But I had my works done in two days this time around, thanks to the extra hour services provided by the DDC office,” said Rith Bahadur Ala, a service seeker, who was at the DDC office on Saturday.
Service seekers are greatly relieved as the DDC office has been providing extra-hour services, said Ghanashyam Aacharya, a rights activist.
Meanwhile, DDC has also issued strict instructions to VDC secretaries to remain at office during standard working hours. “We will immediately take action against errant secretaries if we receive complaints from service seekers,” said Regmi.
