CODEC-UK provides Rs 60,000 to Biratnagar elderly home

MORANG, Dec 11: CODEC-UK, an organization of Nepali residing in Britain, has provided financial assistance of Rs. 600,000 to Birateshwor Elderly Home at Biratnagar Sub Metropolis-13.



The Nepali people leaving in the United Kingdom in coordination with Dahal Foundation collected the amount, said Chairman of CODEC-UK, Bishnu Wagle.[break]



The aid was collected after Atmaram Dahal, who has been leaving in Britain, apprised the organization about the miserable condition of the elderly home.



They have provided a total amount of Rs. 600,000 by collecting in various titles including Rs. 300,000 from the half-marathon organized as for the social campaign organized at Newcastle UK, Rs. 205,000 from CODEC and the Foundation contributed rest amount of money, said Dahal, who is also a member of the Foundation. Dahal is a staff (pundit) at the British Gurkha Military Camp.
