The rallies that emerged from different parts of the capital went through thoroughfares of the capital before converging into a huge mass meeting at Khulla Manch. The mass meeting is underway. [break]
The leaders of the society claimed that more than 2 lakhs people from the different parts of the country participated in the protest rallies.
Meanwhile, cadres of Unified CPN (Maoist) obstructed two vehicles full of the society members in Gorkha that were heading to the capital to participate in the program on Thursday morning.
The YCL cadres even threatened the society members who reached to District Police Office, Gorkha to hold talks to ease the tension erupted aftermath the incident.
A Maoist leader said that they would not let to organise any programs against the interim constitution and federalism.
