Cash prize for karatekas

KATHMANDU, Feb 4: Balaju Karate-Do Academy announced on Thursday that it will present cash prize to the karate players from the academy participating in the 11th South Asian Games (SAG).



A press release issued by the academy´s President Dhruva Bikram Malla on Thursday stated that the academy will provide Rs 100,000, Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 to the gold, silver and bronze winners respectively.



Three karatekas -- Sunil Lama, Anu Adhikari and Subhadra Shrestha -- of the academy have been selected for SAG. Nepal will be participating in 10 events of karate.
