BUSINESS BRIEFS: Annapurna Finance to be Dev Bank

KATHMANDU, April 12: The special general assembly of Annapurna Finance Company has unanimously approved the proposal to upgrade the Class ´C´ company into a Class ´B´ financial institution - development bank.



The company has a paid-up capital of Rs 704.3 million and deposits worth Rs 2.61 billion. [break]



The company operates with a network of 12 branches and four ATM terminals. It is also providing ABBS facilities to its customers, according to a statement received on Monday.





Siddhartha Dev Bank in Nepalgunj



KATHMANDU, April 12: Siddhartha Development Bank established its new branch in Nepalgunj on Monday.



Bank chairman Sekhar Aryal inaugurated the 16th branch of the bank, according to a press statement issued on Monday.



The bank currently has deposits of Rs 2.78 billion and has issued loans of Rs 2.45 billion. The bank earned a net profit of Rs 35.2 million till mid-January 2010, the statement added.
