15 govt officials, judges off to S Korea

KATHMANDU, May 14: A group of 15 government officials, including chief judges, judges and court registrars, on Tuesday left for the Republic of Korea for a training organized by Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).



“The prime objective of the training is to share Korea´s experience in the field of judicial development,” reads a press statement issued by KOICA on Tuesday. [break]



KOICA said the program includes a series of sessions and group discussions, field visits. This is one of the multiyear training programs which started from 2012 and will last until 2015.



According to KOICA, the program ´Judicial Development for High- level Official, Nepal´ will last till May 30.



In 2012, KOICA had invited more than 150 Nepali governmental officials to Korea for development courses on education, health, governance, ICT, rural Development, industry and energy, among others.
