Anita Gyawali, 26, sustained serious injuries on the head and eventually succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment at Charak Hospital.
The bus (Na A 7753) belonging to Motherland Higher Secondary School had hit her at around 10 am in Parsyang Chowk.
Police have detained the driver Madan Rana and impounded the bus. Further investigation into the case is underway.
