PLA ´red´ thrashed ANFA U-16 team 2-0 in the group stage match played at the ANFA Complex, Satdobato. Debendra Gautam scored both the goals for PLA.
In women´s football, both teams of hosts PLA registered victories on Monday. PLA ´red´ demolished WMMC 12-0 as Nisha Sunuwar scored 5 goals and Lila Pandey scored 4 more goals. Anjana Karki added 2 more goals while WMMC conceded an own goal.
Likewise, PLA ´blue´ beat Far Western region 5-0. Rupa Malla completed her hat-trick while Ranjita Baraili added two more.
Similarly, Central region edged past Western region 4-0. Yasoda Thokar scored two goals while Samjhana Chhetri and Anjali Waiba added a goal each.
In men´s volleyball, both teams of PLA lost their matches on Monday. Eastern region defeated PLA ´red´ 13-25, 25-23, 25-16, 25-14 while Mid Western region beat PLA ´blue´ 24-26, 25-18, 25-12, 24-26, 15-4. Likewise, Central region thrashed Far Western region 25-21, 25-18, 23-25, 25-23.
In women´s volleyball, PLA ´blue´ suffered double blows on Monday. Western region defeated PLA ´blue´ 25-16, 25-11, 25-9 while Far western thrashed the PLA team 21-25, 25-21, 25-15, 25-9.
Meanwhile, Central region defeated Eastern 25-15, 25-23, 25-14.
