Wild mushroom intake claims two, one left critical

ROLPA, June 29: Two persons died and one was taken critically ill in Rolpa district after consuming toxic mushroom.



Those killed after the intake of mushroom were Sapana BK, a nine-year-old daughter of Chandra Bahadur BK of Rangsi-5, Rolpa and Kesh Bahadur Sunar, twelve-year-old son of Tul Bahadur Sunar of same VDC, Ward No 2. [break]



Sapana, who was lying unconscious after eating the mushroom curry, breathed her last on the way to hospital on Friday while Sunar died at home today, said relatives of the deceased.



Similarly, Chandra Bahadur BK´s son Nipun BK was taken to Butwal Hospital as treatment at the District Hospital Reugha was not possible, said the district hospital sources.
