Life can get overwhelming at times, especially now when we are still weighed down by the fear of tremors. Let us count all the wonderful things in our lives. Being grateful for all the good things is a sure fire way of feeling happy.

Practice gratitude to be kinder, to have more meaningful relationships, for better self-esteem and higher level of energy. What are you most grateful for? Is it for your house that is still intact, or for the safety of your family members? And not just the recent times, but in general. Think about your satisfying job, your helpful neighbors, the fact that you’ve lost the weight you wanted to, or maybe even the times when you avoided the evening rush hour and reached home 20 minutes early.

Let us look at the wonder in the little things in our lives. Make a pact with yourself to complain less and be grateful more. After all, life is short and wonderful. Don’t you agree?
