Victim journalists lodge complaint in police

CHITWAN, Aug 20: Twelve Chitwan-based journalists have lodged a complaint in the district police office against the assaulter´s by seeking stern action against the culprits who thrashed the journalists in Sauraha on Friday.



Dipendra Adhikari, one of the victim journalists, said they have lodged the application against six persons including assaulter´s Jiba Chaudhary and his brother Bikram under the Public Offense Act-2028 B.S. [break]



Chaudhary brothers, the main alleged in the incident, are under the police control.



Likewise, Superintendent of Police, Rabindra Sharma, has expressed commitment to book the culprits.



Similarly, Dipendra Baduwal and Ekal Silwal, the injured journalists in the attack returned home after receiving treatment in the hospital.



Different media organizations in the district have condemned the attack on journalists, demanding to book the guilty persons sooner.
