The union has also claimed that the school has not been paying income taxes and turning a blind eye to malpractices like unusual fees, violation of child rights and misbehavior with staffs. The agitators said they were forced to take the step after the school authority ignored their requests to hold talks. Some parents and other unions have expressed their support to the agitation. Babu Ram Pokhrel, president of Private and Boarding Schools´ Organization, Nepal (PABSON), has assured the agitators of the support of his organization.
