UML Senior leader Nepal leaving for India on Wednesday

KATHMANDU, July 23: Former Prime Minister and senior leader of CPN-UML Madhav Kumar Nepal is leaving for India on a five-day official visit on Wednesday at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh.



Nepal is scheduled to hold meetings with senior political leaders of India, according to Bishnu Rijal, a member of the UML Publicity Department. Nepal will hold series of meetings with the Indian leaders during his five-day visit. Senior leader Nepal is scheduled to meet Indian PM Singh on Thursday at 5 pm. He is meeting to the UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi at 4pm on Friday. [break]



Similarly, Indian Minister for External Affairs Salman Khurshid will call on Nepal. Minister Khurshid and Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar will host luncheon meetings with Nepal in Delhi and Patna respectively.



Nepal is also scheduled to address a special programme in Nalanda University. Nepal will be accompanied by UML General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel and his former foreign affairs adviser Rajan Bhattarai. His visit comes after senior leader of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba´s visit to India last month
