Rainfall likely in hills, mountains; heat expected in Terai

Partly cloudy weather has been expected in hilly areas of Madhesh, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, while there will be mainly fair weather in the remaining areas of Terai.

KATHMANDU, June 8: Partly cloudy to rainy weather has been forecast for today in various parts of the country. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there will be generally cloudy conditions in mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagamati and Gandaki provinces, as well as in the remaining mountainous areas. 



Partly cloudy weather has been expected in hilly areas of Madhesh, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, while there will be mainly fair weather in the remaining areas of Terai.

Similarly, moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning, along with snowfall,  is likely in a few places in the mountainous and hilly areas of Koshi, Bagamati, and Gandaki Provinces, as well as at one or two places in the remaining mountainous and hilly regions.   


Hot weather is likely to prevail in some places of the Terai region in Madhesh, Bagamati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpashim provinces. 


Tonight, it will be generally cloudy in mountainous areas of Koshi Province, partly cloudy in hilly regions, and mainly fair in the Terai. 


Light rainfall/snowfall, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is likely in a few places of  Koshi Province,  the mountainous and hilly areas of  Bagamati and Gandaki provinces, and the mountainous areas of Karnali Province, the Division states.
