KATHMANDU, June 8: Nabil Bank has launched an instant cross-border remittance service between Nepal and India, allowing customers to send and receive money seamlessly through digital channels on Saturday.
The Nepal–India–Nepal Person-to-Person (P2P) Remittance Service enables customers to transfer funds instantly between the two countries using the bank's mobile banking platform, nBank, according to a press statement issued by the bank.
Under the service, Indian citizens holding accounts with Nabil Bank can send money directly to family members and friends in India through the nBank app. Likewise, both Nepali and Indian citizens can transfer money instantly to Nabil Bank account holders in Nepal, making cross-border transactions faster and more convenient.

Nabil Bank said the service is designed to simplify cross-border money transfers while ensuring security and ease of use for customers in both countries.
“This service is an important step toward making cross-border payments faster and more accessible,” said Manoj Gyawali, Chief Executive Officer of Nabil Bank. “It reflects our commitment to advancing digital banking services and enhancing customer convenience in Nepal and India.”
According to the bank, customers can send up to INR 15,000 per day and INR 100,000 per month from Nepal to India. For transfers from India to Nepal, the daily limit has been set at INR 200,000, with no monthly cap.
The service is supported by Nepal Clearing House Limited (NCHL) and India's Unified Payments Interface (UPI), enabling secure and seamless transactions between the two countries.
Nabil Bank, one of Nepal's leading commercial banks, currently operates 266 branches and 318 ATMs across the country.
