“If the Baburam Bhattarai-led government is toppled, another government cannot conclude the twin tasks of peace and constitution drafting,” said Gachchhadar while addressing a program organized by his party, Madhesi People´s Rights Forum-Democratic (MPRF-D), at Banepa of Kabhre district, adding, “And, the country will be plunged into crisis.” [break]
Gachchhadar, who is also chairman of MPRF-D, stated that the present government will resign only if the political parties forge consensus on a national consensus government.
“The political parties must agree on a prime minister of consensus,” he added.
In a separate context, Gachchhadar said the integration of Maoist ex-combatants will begin within two weeks, adding that it would be a great achievement of the present coalition government.
