A UML leader available at the party headquarters, Balkhu, confirmed that Jha’s resignation letter has been received in the party office via fax this morning.
According to him, Jha, however, has not mentioned anything about his next move in the resignation letter despite there is rumors in the media that he is soon joining the UCPN (Maoist).
Earlier, Jha, who was set join in the new party formed by UML’s dissident group led by Ashok Rai, had changed his mind in last hour.
Jha was dissatisfied over the responsibility assigned to him by the party of late.
He was elected as Constituent Assembly from Dhanusha district constituency-1 in the erstwhile CA election.
A case is also subjudice in the Supreme Court which was filed against Jha charging that he acquired the Nepali citizenship illegally being an Indian national.
