UCPN (Maoist) to provide relief fund to Badarmudhe blast victims

KATHMANDU, March 5: A meeting of office bearers of the ruling UCPN (Maoist) Tuesday morning decided to provide relief fund to the families of the victims of the Badarmudhe blast in Madi, Chitwan.



Amik Serchan, a party leader exiting from the meeting held at the party chairman’s residence in Lazimpat, said the meeting decided to issue Rs 6,000,000 from the party’s funds to the victims. [break]



He added the party decided to take itself the financial burden as the government paid no heed to the requested made by the party to release funds to the blast victims. As many as 38 people were killed and 72 others injured in an ambush at that place laid by the Maoist party during its insurgency.
