“I played with players of my age as well as those elder to me. I´m quite impressed with their playing approach and skills,” Frankel told myrepublica.com on Tuesday evening.

The British star´s aim is to win Grand Slam title and is preparing accordingly.

Frankel, who comes from Bournemouth of the UK said, “My aim is to win at least any one Grand Slam title,” and added, “I´m training with the objective in my mind.” He said he practices tennis for about three to four hours a day except on weekends.

The five feet 10 inches tall teenager, currently training under the guidance of chief coach Peter McCraw, says one needs to pay proper attention toward balanced diet in order to become a good player.

“I´m a vegetarian and I prefer salads,” revealed the right handed player.

Besides winning the Wimbledon last year, the teenager who carried racquet at the age of seven also represented England in the 2009 Four Nations Championships U-14´s winning team. Likewise, he was a member of the winning team of the National League in 2009. He also clinched the title of U-14 Bournemouth Open Europe Event last year.

He is an avid fan of Tim Henman and Tommy Haas. “I like Haas also because my back-hand is similar to his.”

There are people in the tennis world who admire Frankel as well. Among them is former British number one Henman.

Henman reportedly commented upon Frankel´s performance saying, “Ryan played exceptionally well and I look forward to seeing how his tennis progresses.”

Lawn Tennis Association´s Chief Executive Roger Draper said, “As one of our most promising juniors, Ryan Frankel, winner of the recent ´Road to Wimbledon´ tournament has a great future in tennis. He already has an excellent serve and volley game and is very focused on his goal to become a top international player.”

Frankel, a secondary school student, is watchful not to let his game affect his studies. “I give equal focus to both studies and tennis,” he said.

Frankel also has keen interest in cricket besides tennis. He can bowl in a medium speed.

During his personal visit, Frankel plans to travel to various places in Nepal along with his mother. “I had heard a few things about Nepal. I´ve already gone around Kathmandu and I liked those places,” he said.
