Dambar Uprety of Dolakha, currently residing in Kathmandu, and Roshan Shivakoti of Jhapa, currently staying in Bhaktapur, died on the spot when the jeep veered 200 meters down from the highway at 11 p.m., according to the police.
Tek Raj Shivakoti of Sunkhani-9, Dolakha, and Ashok Shivakoti of the same place are in critical condition and have been referred to Kathmandu by Dhulikhel Hospital, according to police inspector Ek Narayan Koirala.
There were five persons including driver Dishanta Bista of Tarkerabari, Okhaldhunga, in the ill-fated jeep that was returning from a meeting of Shivakoti Society in Dolakha.
