NAWALPARASI, June 11: Six people were injured after a crane lost control and met with an accident at Ranital in Gaindakot Municipality-4 along the Kaligandaki Corridor road section in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East).
The crane (Lu 1 Ka 4437), which was heading towards Gaindakot from Dhodeni on Monday night, reportedly suffered brake failure while descending a slope before crashing into a roadside embankment, said Superintendent of Police Yubraj Khadka of the District Police Office, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East).

Those injured include the crane driver, 25-year-old Niraj Magar of Tansen Municipality in Palpa, currently residing in Madhyabindu Municipality-11, along with passengers Dil Bahadur Kumal, 60, Nirmal Darai, 27, Purna Prasad Darai, 52, Arjun Bahadur Darai, 53, and Amar Darai, 50, all from Madhyabindu-11, according to SP Khadka.
All the injured have been referred to New Medical College in Bharatpur for treatment. The crane has been damaged, while the accident vehicle remains at the site. Police said further investigation is underway.
