Addressing a programme organized by ´Aaja Ko Media Private Limited´ in the capital on Sunday, Chairman Khanal urged the CPN (Maoist) to avoid it by deciding not to stay away from the elections scheduled for November 19.[break]
On the occasion, the students, schools securing top position in the recently held SLC examinations and the best teachers and the education journalists were felicitated.
Those felicitated on the occasion were founder of Gyanodaya Balbatika Indira Yakthumba, founder of VS Niketan Dr Baburam Pokharel, founder of GEMS school Rajesh Khadka, Director of Department of Education, Tek Narayan Pandey, education journalists Iswar Raj Dhakal of Nepal Samacharpatra and Pradip Neupane of Rajdhani daily.
Likewise, among the community schools, Karuna Shrestha of Balambu Secondary School bagged a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 sponsored by the Chaudhary Group while Aseem Ghimire of Little Flowers´ School, Jhapa, Prasanna Nepal of Little Angels´, Saru Shrestha of Gladstone Academy, Nikima Shahi of Rai School and other toppers were felicitated.
