“We will import Swish from India as it is assembled in the southern neighbor itself. But the parts are imported from Japan,” said Pramila Khatri, showroom manager of Ganesh Enterprises. “The scooter will stand out among other brand in the market as it has attractive outlook.” Suzuki India had launched the scooter during Auto Expo 2012 held in the Indian capital in January. Ganesh Enterprises is currently marketing two models of scooter -- AN 125cc and Access 125cc -- in the domestic market. The company has priced AN 125cc at Rs 163,888 and Access 125cc at Rs 159,888. It had launched both the models in 2005.
“We have so far sold 3,000 units of AN 125cc and 4,500 units of Access in the Nepali market,” Khatri added. Access 125cc is imported from India and is available in different colors such as red, blue, and white and black. “Compared to the AN 125cc, Access 125cc is getting more popularity among the bike riders because of its ground claims features due to which customers can ride easily in the off-road also,” Khatri told Republica.
Similarly, AN 125cc is imported from China. The scooter is available in different colors like red, grey, white and black. AN 125cc is popular in the city area because of its look, Khatri added.
"The craze for scooters is getting bigger in the domestic market as anyone who knows how to ride bicycles can drive it, which is not the case for motorcycles," said Khatri, adding that sales of the scooter has gone up by around 15 percent in the domestic market because of this very factor.
