Speaking at a program organized in Sunsari district headquarters Inaruwa on Friday to inaugurate party office and to honour families of martyrs and conflict victims, he accused the state of showing dishonesty despite holding several round of talks with the armed groups.
Leader Gupta also said the state held six-round talks with groups waging armed struggle for Madhes rights and killed more than 127 people extra-judicially during the two years by bringing the special security plan into effect all of a sudden.
‘We have urged conflicting groups to join the mainstream of peaceful politics for the cause of rights’, Chairperson Gupta said, adding ‘We have incorporated the Rajiv Jha-led group which has been waging armed struggle from Janakpur to Morang in our party’.
Chairperson Gupta further informed talks are being held with other political parties or groups to explore resolution through peaceful political movement.
He also made it clear that there is a high chance of escalation of conflict in the country since the state has not done enough for holding talks with the armed groups interested to come to peaceful politics in an honest manner.
Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum (Republican) Morang District Chairperson SN Meheta presided over the program.
