KATHMANDU, May 22: The Nepali women’s national cricket team won a practice match against Malaysia in the second international T20 tournament.
In today’s match held at the Bayuemas Oval cricket ground in Malaysia, Nepal defeated Malaysia by seven wickets.

Malaysia had set a 83-run victory target for Nepal. In response, Nepal completed the target in 16 overs at the loss of three wickets.
For Nepal’s victory, Samjhana Khadka scored the highest 39 runs. Similarly, Kabita Kunwar and Soni Pakhrin scored 19 runs and 12 runs respectively.
Earlier, after winning the toss and electing to bat first, Malaysia were bowled out for 82 runs in the allotted 20 overs.
Ainna Hamizah of Malaysia scored the highest 17 runs, while Dhanusri Muhunan and Arianna Natsya scored 15 runs and 13 runs respectively. Except for them, other Malaysian players could not reach double-digit scores.
Nepal’s Kabita Kunwar, Rubina Chhetri and Riya Sharma took two wickets each, while Puja Mahato and Sita Ranamagar took one wicket each.
