Stakeholders demand to probe Dhanusha school clash

KATHMANDU, March 25: Various stakeholders have demanded fair investigation into the murder of two persons in a scuffle after dispute of land of a community school in Dhanusha and keep schools aloof from politics.

Two locals, Ram Sewak Raut and Ram Prakash Yadav, lost their lives in the row caused after growing dispute within management committee of Madan Ashrit Lower Secondary School, Sabaila in Dhanusha on March 23.


Guardians Association Nepal Chairperson Suprabhat Bhandari termed the incident tragic, condemnable and shameful and stressed the need to review the process of forming school management committee.

Talking to RSS, Bhandari said the problem has emerged owing to no election since long, granting right of appointing temporary teachers to management committee and political parties eying on school resources.

Likewise, General Secretary of Nepal Community Schools management Committees Association Mohan Khatibada demanded end to politicization in schools and sought fair investigation and action against the guilty in the incident. RSS
