SPORTS BRIEF: Sherpa Lohsar Cup

KATHMANDU: Sherpa Youth Club and Himalayan Bhote Samaj won their respective matches on Thursday in the Third Sherpa Lohsar Cup Football Tournament. Sherpa Youth defeated Buddha Samaj 4-2 while Himalayan thrashed Peksasu 5-1. Meanwhile, Multi Vision beat Selung Youth Club 4-1 and Tushal thrashed Gudel Chhiduk 7-1.



Double delight for United



KATHMANDU: United School thrashed Bidyadayini 41-9 and pulled a 52-48 victory over Bridgewater on Thursday in the senior boys´ category of the First Olympia Cup, an inter school basketball tournament. Likewise, Campion edged past the host Olympia 34-12 in another match of senior boys´ section. In senior girls´ category, Nobel defeated Bagmati 33-13 while Little Angels´ beat the host Olympia 12-1. Meanwhile, Wilson Academy upset Olympia 38-8 in junior boys´ section.
