Special committee's secretariat to have 7-9 members

KATHMANDU, Jan 26: The Special Committee for Supervision, Integration and Rehabilitation of Maoist Combatants has decided to set up a secretariat comprising representatives from Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Maoist PLA. There will be seven to nine members in the secretariat that will control the chain of command of the Maoist PLA.



"We have agreed on setting up a secretariat and chain of command of the combatants," said the Special Committee member Dr Ram Sharan Mahat after the committee´s meeting Tuesday.



Maoists have proposed PLA commander Nanda Kishor Pun as the coordinator of the secretariat. But the Special Committee meeting on Friday will decide who will be the coordinator.
