President Ram Baran Yadav administered oath of office and secrecy to Speaker Gharti at a special program organized at the Office of the President, Sheetal Niwas.
Present on the occasion were Vice-President Paramananda Jha, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Acting Chief Justice Girish Chandra Lal, Ministers, parliamentarians and chief of security bodies and chief and representatives of diplomatic missions, among others.
Gharti was elected to the post of Speaker on October 16. She was elected from Rolpa Constituency No 2 from the UCPN (Maoist). RSS
