KATHMANDU, Nov 2: It is so true that some of the qualities that you have are innate. Believe us, for it is a true case that we can relate with siblings Nilanjana Bhattacharya and Satya Bhattacharya, who are born to singer Nupur Bhattacharya. [break]Though both Nilanjana and Satya are both doctors by profession, they sure know deep within that they have inherited something valuable from their singer mom.

Whatever the reason, these two doctors are done with their debut albums, which they are releasing on Wednesday at Nepa Dhuku Hall, Radisson Hotel. Both – “Sounds from My Heart” by Nilanjana and “Pulse” by Satya have the songs sung to the tunes of prominent music composer Nhyoo Bjaracharya.

Elder sister Nilanjana is working for a Biotech company in Boston, while younger brother Satya is a surgeon at the same place.

Nilanjana’s “Sounds from My Heart” comprises ten compositions altogether, while Satya’s “Pulse” is an ensemble of nine numbers. All composed by Nhyoo Bajracharya at the Doremi Music Studio in Jamal, both the albums have the words from lyricists of the likes of Durga Lal Shrestha, Basanta Chaudhary, Karun Thapa, Dr Bishwambher Pyakurel and Shiva Gautam.

Some sixteen years back composer Nhyoo Bajracharya, who was a family friend of the Bhattacharyas, knew it deep within that one day these two siblings would make it big in Nepali music scene. After quite a long time, he met the duo at San Francisco two years ago. It was then when Bajarcharya was sure that these two were now ready to come up with their album of their own. And then last year they started the recording. But because both were professional doctors, it took them sometime to wrap up their recording.

Bajracharya says that both the albums have slow rock and some mix music in them. He proudly claims that these two upcoming singers have done proper justice to his compositions and he is keen on working with them in the future.

He elucidated, “We hardly have a trend of buying CDs in Kathmandu. But I can assure you that if you buy their albums, you’ll have nothing to lose.” Bajracharya rates 9 out of 10 to Nilanjana’s vocal power and 8 to Satya.

“Perfection is a mere illusion. It takes a lot to get such scores in the beginning itself,” the versatile composer concluded.

Both albums are produced and marketed by Doremi Music School.
