SC report to president

KATHMANDU, Feb 24: The Supreme Court submitted its annual report for the last fiscal to President Dr Ram Baran Yadav on Wednesday. As per the constitution, the SC is required to submit its annual reports to the president.



Receiving the report, President Yadav appreciated the judiciary for its balanced role. "The country is in difficult situation. However, the judiciary has been playing a remarkable role even in this unfavorable situation," SC assistant spokesperson Hemanta Rawal quoted Yadav as saying.



According to the report, the judiciary settled 4 percent more cases in the last fiscal than in the previous year.
