With the opening of PBS, Nepal now joins a chain of cities in the word that has Samsung PBS.[break]
“The PBS is an innovative concept in extending product interaction and customer experience. At PBS customers will have the opportunity not only to browse the latest and innovative products from Samsung but also can touch and use the products and learn about its features under the guidance of Samsung experts,” said Deepak Malhotra, chairman of International Marketing Services (IMS) - the authorized distributor of Samsung Mobile in Nepal.
Besides smartphones, customers can also accessories and other add-ons of Samsung at the PBS.
The BPS at Durbar Marg has five tables in which five different varieties of smartphones are displayed. Each table has five to six phones so that different customers can use the phone at the same time.
To celebrate the opening of PBS, IMS provided 15 percent discount on Galaxy S III and Note II and 8 percent discount on all other models on Sunday. Customers can avail 5 percent discount on all phones on other days.
Samsung Mobile has four service centers in Kathmandu, Itahari, Narayanghat and Kohalpur. “We are planning to open a new service center in Pokhara very soon. Besides, we will be adding four more service centers by the end of 2013,” said Malhotra.
Meanwhile, IMS is planning to provide insurance facility for high-end smartphones in the near future. “We will be providing insurance facility even if the screen breaks or it falls in water. These two provisions are not included in the warranty we provide,” said Malhotra. The company will pay premium for the first year, according to Malhotra.
CNN Hero Basnet feted
KATHMANDU: International Marketing Services (IMS) - the authorized distributor of Samsung Mobile in Nepal - on Sunday felicitated CNN Hero 2012 Pushpa Basnet.
Deepak Malhotra, chairman of IMS, also handed over a check for Rs 500,000 to Basnet as a token of appreciation for her organization ´Butterfly Home´.
In addition to that, different individuals and organizations supported Basnet´s organization on the day. Kishor Silwal provided Rs 101,000 for Butterfly Home. Similarly, Nepal Investment Bank, Bimal Poddar and Nirjala Raut provided Rs 51,000 each, Rajendra Bhakta Shrestha and Mukul Lohia gave Rs 25,000 each, and Daya Raj Sharma and Madav Bahadur Thapa gave Rs 20,000 each.
