“The matter has been settled and we will not be going to court,” an ecstatic Shah said on Tuesday.
Earlier Shah had mentioned that her song had been wrongfully used by Mahat in his album “Akasaima Joon” without her permission.
The album was brought to the market by Music Nepal Pvt Ltd.
The statement adds that the song has been removed from Mahat’s album and it will not be re recorded or used in any album without her permission.

Shah had sung the hugely popular song Simsime Panima at the young age of 14 and won nationwide folk song competition.
She was then approached by Mahat to sing a duet with him to whom she agreed.
The song received further popularity and is termed as a Nepali folk classic.
