During a meeting with UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Wednesday, Regmi asked him to create election environment as the government on its part had already completed necessary preparations for the Nov 19 polls. [break]
“The only objective of the current government is to hold election. Since the government has already completed necessary preparations for polls, I urge you all to help create election environment,” Regmi´s press advisor Bimal Gautam quoted him as telling Dahal.
During the meeting held at Regmi´s official residence in Baluwatar, the duo also discussed the current political situation and the recent decision of the CPN-Maoist to actively boycott the election process.
Press advisor Gautam said Regmi has been asking the top leaders of various political parties to create environment for polls. “Both formal and informal meetings are being held with the leaders of various political parties. Regmi has been asking them to help create election environment and hold the polls on November 19,” he said.
