In the tie sheet draw held on Friday at the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) Office, Satdobato, Nepal Police Club has been pitted against newly promoted Bauddha Football Club in another match of the day.[break]
According to the initial tie-sheet drawn today for four rounds (36 matches), two matches will be held each day at the Dasharath Stadium. The first match is scheduled to begin at 14:00 NST and another at 16:00 NST.
However, ANFA is planning to hold three matches per day. “We are planning to hold three matches per day, adding another match at the APF ground, Halchowk,” said Indraman Tuladhar, the CEO of ANFA, adding, “If the Armed Police Force (AFP) allocates the ground for league we will hold third match there.”
Meanwhile, three among six matches of the AFC President´s Cup group C football tournament to begin from Wednesday will also be held at the Halchowk ground.
The draw for other rounds of the tournament will be held after discussion with the APF.
For the first time highest 18 teams are participating in the Martyrs Memorial League including top10 teams from the previous Martyrs Memorial League and eight other clubs promoted to A division. Boys Union and Sankata Club were relegated to B division in the previous edition.
The top eight teams among 18 and two other clubs selected through regional A division league will compete in the National League to be held later.
