Central Chairman of the Press Chautari Gagan Bista shared the information here that the convention would pile pressure on the government to address journalists´ professional security and rights.[break]
The convention being held under the slogan ´Working Journalists´ Call: New Constitution with full-fledged Press Freedom´, would stress on the editorial freedom, he added.
Similarly, general secretary Bishnu Rijal claimed that the Chautari was a transparent and democratic organization of working journalists.
It was informed at the programme on Saturday that the convention would be attended by 500 journalists from 74 districts of the country.
