Speaking at a press conference organized by revolutionary journalists’ association here in Bharatpur, Dahal, however, acknowledged that delay of drafting election ordinance was the main cause behind the delay of declaring the new poll date.[break]
In the program, Dahal accused some parties of being not serious for the upcoming elections. He, however, vowed to hold the election at any cost.
On the occasion, he ruled out the any possibilities of keeping the provisions of proportionate representation (PR) threshold in the election ordinance.
Speaking at the program Maoist chairman was of the view that those candidates, who were convicted by the court on criminal charges, should not be barred to contest in the elections.
Dahal arrived here to inaugurate a program organized by Gitanagar-based Himalayan Higher Secondary School.
