The VDC has been declared as cent percent birth registration VDC at a programme jointly organised today by Pokhariya VDC, Child Protection Committee, Janata Children´s Club and Plan Nepal.[break]
Technical Assistant of the VDC, Kailash Mandal, said that the VDC registered the births of children during a month´s period by launching a door-to-door programme.
On the occasion, former lawmaker Asha Devi Sardar said that such programme should be launched in other VDCs as well.
Various speakers including Chief of the Plan Nepal Kalubhan Rai and VDC Secretary Bishnu Prasad Ojha pointed out the need of taking such campaigns to all the 65 VDCs of Morang.
