KATHMANDU, Sept 6: The Concerned Nepalis for Saving Academic Environment, a group representing a spectrum of Nepal´s citizens, submitted a petition to PM Madhav Kumar Nepal on September 3 to draw his attention to increasing violence in colleges.

The petition signed by nearly 500 individuals also requested the government to take legislative actions in order to stop interferences in the appointments of high-level university officials.

They pointed out that the lawlessness has hampered the academic quality of educational institutions and has impinged on their ability to impart quality education.
