KATHMANDU, Feb 12: Political parties representing the parliament on Friday suggested Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli not to sign any agreement against national interest during India visit.

Leaders of 17 different parties said that earlier prime ministers failed to live up to their promises to the people and struck the bilateral deals with India which ultimately proved to be against the national interest, according to PM Press Advisor Pramod Dahal.

They suggested that the visit should solve misunderstandings and complexities in Nepal-India relation.

“My visit will be focused on national interest,” Dahal said quoting PM Oli, “I will attempt to take the bilateral relation to a new height.”

PM Oli is commencing on a five-day visit to India on February 19.
