PM directs Nepal Army for prompt delivery of relief

KATHMANDU, May 1: Prime Minister Sushil Koirala on Friday reached the Tribhuvan International Airport and directed the Nepalese Army to promptly deliver the relief materials in the affected areas.The Prime Minister went to the airport this morning to take stock of the relief distribution.

On the occasion, PM Koirala directed the army to immediately reach the relief materials coming from within the country and abroad in the earthquake-affected areas instead of keeping that pending at the airport.

He urged for distributing the available relief at the earliest possible in the face of public complaints of not getting the relief coming from the affected districts.

Chief of the Army Staff Gaurav Shumsher JBR briefed PM Koirala about the particulars of the relief materials received so far and the status of relief distribution by the army. RSS
