According to the information shared by Department Director Hari Narayan Belbase, it is found that Valley-based different petrol pumps have been selling petro products in less than the standard quantity and defrauding costumers.

Among such defrauders are Makalu Oil Stores in Kalanki, Matadevi Oil Stores in Bafal and Maitidevi Petroleum Suppliers in Maitidevi, he said.

The petrol pumps were found to have shown wrong number in their display point, Belbase added.

The on-site monitoring revealed that the petrol pumps are selling 20-40 ml less in every five litres of petrol.

Department Director Belbase said, ´We have directed the petrol pumps not to make any transaction of petroleum products for a time being. A request was made to Department of Nepal Quality Control and Measurement for further action´.
