KATHMANDU, Feb 19: UCPN (Maoist) leader Haribol Gajurel said chances of striking a deal among parties are slim as they continue to differ on formation of Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) proposal floated by his party and citizenship issues raised by Madhesi parties.

Addressing an interaction program in the capital on Tuesday Gajurel claimed that his party sees trust deficit among the parties as TRC formation is delayed despite successfully completion of army integration process. [break]

However, Nepali Congress leader Dip Kumar Upadhyay said that his party would never agree on formation of Maoist proposal on TRC and Madhesi parties’ proposal on citizenship issues.

He said that amnesty to those who were convicted of serious crime through TRC was not possible. The NC leader demanded serious talks among the parties before sorting out TRC formation and citizenship issues.
